Lindsay Morgan Lohan was born in New York City on July 2, 1986. Her mother Dina is a former Radio City "Rockette" while her father Michael was a long-time Wall Street trader before he struck it rich with a family pasta business. He has now redirected his energies into film development and producing.
Along with her three younger siblings, Michael, Aliana and Dakota, Lindsay was raised in Long Island. Lindsay was such a natural beauty that she began modeling at the age of 3. In fact, she was the first redheaded child ever signed by the renowned Ford Modeling Agency.

But Lindsay Lohan wasn't just a pretty child; she was also talented. Capitalizing on her flair for performing, she was cast in over 60 TV commercials for companies such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Wendy's, the Gap, Pizza Hut, Calvin Klein, and Jell-O, in which she shared the screen with Bill Cosby.
When she was 7, Lindsay was required to dress up as garbage for a Halloween skit on the Late Show with David Letterman called "Things You Find on the Bottom of the Subway." It was her first real acting job.

Aside from the numerous TV commercials she has appeared in, Lindsay played the twin sisters in the remake of The Parent Trap (1998), Jamie Lee Curtis' daughter in the remake of Freaky Friday (2003) and a wannabe popular girl in the sleeper hit, Mean Girls (2004). In 2005 she starred in another Disney flick, Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), Just My Luck (2006), I Know Who Killed Me and Georgia Rule, which were both released in 2007.
Lindsay also released a debut album called Speak in December 2004 and A Little More Personal in December 2005. She's on the cusp of working on her third album.

Every generation has its share of emerging stars. and Lindsay Lohan was beginning to prove just that. In only a few years, she became an idol for teenage girls everywhere and a pinup for their male counterparts. However, her battle with drugs and alcohol came to a head in 2007 when she lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and hit a curb. Police found cocaine in her car and charged her with driving under the influence. She entered rehab several times, and finally in August Lindsay stuck to her rehab and was released in October. Let's hope this was Lohan's last bout with addiction.

On the one hand, Lohan's former co-stars describe her as smart, funny, outgoing, and easy to get along with. However, there's a flip side to her personality, as she has admitted to being a lot like the mean cheerleaders her character is at odds with in Mean Girls (2004).
Given her sporadic track record, Lindsay Lohan has gone from the "sicky sweet girl" in Disney movies to the jaded and unpredictable young Hollywood starlet that acts out and constantly gets into trouble.
